(La Porte County, IN) - A La Porte area man is facing allegations he fled from a crash with a NIPSCO pole.

He was found by police following his tire tracks on the snow covered roadways.  Edward Liverpool is charged with leaving the scene of a crash that occurred Tuesday night in the area of 175 West and 850 South.  A guard rail, utility box and NIPSCO pole were struck by a vehicle allegedly operated by Liverpool.

La Porte County Police said officers followed the tire tracks in the snow leading away from the crash site for several miles. They located the suspect at a home in the 200 block of D St. in La Porte. Liverpool was located standing in the driveway and taken into custody.
