(Merrillville, IN) - This holiday season marks NIPSCO’s 13th annual "Hope for the Holidays" campaign, which combines donations from both the company and its employees to benefit various community-serving organizations across northern Indiana.  This year, NIPSCO reports raising nearly a quarter of a million dollars and donating hundreds of toys to children in need.

The Merrillville-based utility donated $239,425 to 23 organizations across its service area. NIPSCO employees also contributed more than 800 new toys, which will be distributed through seven local Toys for Tots chapters.

Company leaders say the campaign highlights the generosity of employees and their commitment to helping families during the holiday season. NIPSCO has run the Hope for the Holidays campaign for 13 years, providing support for winter coats, holiday meals, warming centers, toiletries, and other essential items for those in need.
