(La Porte County, IN) - A two liter bottle tossed from a moving vehicle apparently caused some damage between Westville and Wanatah over the weekend.
It was among the seven vehicles on the same highway damaged Saturday from objects discarded from other vehicles heading in the opposite direction.
La Porte County Police said one driver was on U.S. 421 about 6 p.m. when she suddenly heard something strike her car right after she passed an oncoming vehicle.
After driving home, police said a two liter bottle labeled “Cola” was found stuck in one of her headlights. There were also cracks on her front bumper and fender.
Police said all of the incidents on U.S. 421 happened between the areas of 200 North and 1800 South.
“These malicious acts are not only criminal but incredibly dangerous,” said La Porte County Police Capt. Derek Allen.
Anyone with information that might lead to an arrest is asked to contact La Porte County Police.
