(St. Joseph County, IN) - A La Porte man was killed in a two-vehicle crash west of Walkerton.  The accident happened late Thursday morning on US 6 near Poplar Rd.

 

 

According to reports, an SUV collided with a passenger vehicle driven by 44year-old William Dankert IV of La Porte.  Dankert was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

The driver of the SUV, 28-year-old Kyle Austin Seals of Walkerton, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.  Police said Seals was swerving and veered over the center just prior to the collision.

 

Investigators are waiting for the results of a blood test to determine if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision.
