(Indianapolis, IN) - Indiana could have a designated state sandwich. A bill has been introduced in the Indiana legislature to make the breaded pork tenderloin sandwich the state sandwich. The crispy, deep fried pork cutlet often larger than the bun is already the unofficial sandwich in Indiana.
The bill was introduced by Indiana State Senator Andy Zay, who represents District 17 between Logansport and Ft. Wayne. If approved, the designation would take effect on July 1.
