(La Porte County, IN) - La Porte County Police are hoping a picture of two suspected shoplifters will generate leads that result in arrests.

 

 

Police said the two men on November 30 went inside Dollar General in Westville.  One of the men engaged the store clerk in conversation for an extended period of time while the other wandered around placing merchandise into a garbage can.

 

Eventually, police said both individuals ran out of the store with the garbage can full of stolen products.  While beginning to flee, the thieves discarded the garbage can from a Ford F-150 pick-up truck they were in and ran it over.

 

Police said some of the stolen merchandise was recovered.  Anyone recognizing either one of the individuals is asked to email Deputy Adam Needles at aneedles@lcso.in.gov.
