(La Porte, IN) - A motor vehicle operator fresh from his second drunk driving conviction was allegedly caught impaired in the drive-thru at fast food restaurant in La Porte.  Brandon Ohime, 27, of Union Mills is charged in La Porte Circuit Court with Level 6 felony operating while intoxicated.  On the night of November 27, emergency responders were called to the drive-thru of McDonalds at 164 Pine Lake Ave.  Another driver waiting behind him called 911 and reported Ohime was slumped over in his vehicle, police said.

His alleged blood alcohol level was .203 percent, well above the .08 percent legal limit.

Ohime on November 5 was placed on probation for about 15 months for operating while intoxicated and served a similar sentence for an OWI conviction from 2021, according to court records.
