(La Porte, IN) - There will be more than one chance to get free Thanksgiving dinner in La Porte beginning this evening.

State Street Community Church at 209 State St. will host a Thanksgiving Eve dinner from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Pastor Nate Loucks said a few hundred people are expected to attend and everyone is invited.

“If you’re alone.  If you’re hungry. If you got friends.  If you got family, bring them out.  It’s going to be a great time,” he said.

The public is also invited to another free dinner on Thanksgiving Day at the American Legion Post 83 at 228 E. Lincolnway.  Dinner there will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
