(La Porte County, IN) - A collision caused by a wrong way vehicle in La Porte County over the weekend left both drivers dead.

The Friday night crash was in the Rolling Prairie area at Indiana 2 and 500 East. The victims were 43 year old Michael Munroe of Lansing, Illinois and 42 year old Matthew Turner, who was from Florida.

La Porte County Police said Turner was eastbound in the westbound lanes of the state highway when he collided with the oncoming vehicle. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Investigators are still waiting for blood test results to determine if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident.
