Knox Player Trails Just NFL Star as Rushing King

(Knox, IN) - The incredible season of a high school football team from the area continues tonight.

The undefeated Knox Redskins are playing in the state Class 3A semi-finals at Ft. Wayne Bishop Luers.   In addition, their quarterback is hoping to break the all-time high school career rushing yards record in the nation.

Myles McLaughlin trails only NFL superstar running back, Derrick Henry.  He needs 365 yards rushing to break the mark.  McLaughlin told Michana Sports he’s surprised at his performance this season.

“It’s definitely really crazy.  I never would have thought that would happen to me,” he said.

McLaughlin is averaging about 11 yards per carry this season.
