(Michigan City, IN) - There was minor damage in a house fire this morning in Michigan City.

According to the fire department, damage was limited mostly to a clothes dryer, which caused the fire in the 700 block of Earl Road.  There was also minimal smoke and water damage.

Fans were used to remove smoke from the structure mostly in the basement. The family was able to continue living in the residence, officials said.  No injuries were reported.
