(La Porte County, IN) - The Food Bank of Northern Indiana will be making six stops in La Porte County over the next week and a half to give out Thanksgiving meals. In all, there will be enough holiday food, including frozen turkeys, for 1,500 households.
Assorted food items offered free of charge. All items are pre-boxed and pre-bagged. First come, first served, while supplies last for those in need of food assistance. One box/turkey per household. Distributions are drive through. Organizers ask recipients to remain in their vehicles and open their trunks to receive items. An area will be available for self-loading if your trunk does not open.

Saturday, November 15
9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. CT *While supplies last.
Where: Marquette Mall (former JC Penney), 201 W. US 20, Michigan City
*This distribution will serve 500 households.
Tuesday, November 18
10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. CT *While supplies last.
Where: Salvation Army, 3240 Monroe St., La Porte
*This distribution will serve 150 households.
Tuesday, November 18
1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. CT *While supplies last.
Where: First Church of God, 2020 E. Lincolnway, La Porte
*This distribution will serve 150 households.
Wednesday, November 19
9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. CT *While supplies last.
Where: High Praise Outreach Ministries, 301 E. 9th St., Michigan City
*This distribution will serve 200 households.

11:30 a.m. – 1:30 a.m. CT *While supplies last.
Where: Kingsford Heights Community Center, 515 Wayland Rd., Kingsford Heights
