(La Porte, IN) - Sentencing is scheduled for a La Porte drug dealer.  Shawn Ward has agreed to a seven year prison sentence followed by two years on probation under a guilty plea.

Over a year ago, authorities said he sold heroin and methamphetamine for $180 outside his residence in the area of Jackson and Noble streets.  The exchange occurred inside the buyer’s vehicle parked along the curb.  The 24 year old Ward will be sentenced if Judge Julianne Havens accepts the plea agreement during a hearing set for December 5 in La Porte Circuit Court. In exchange for the plea, one of the two counts against Ward would be dismissed.
