(La Porte County, IN) - A driver had her vehicle damaged Sunday afternoon by snow thrown off a La Porte County overpass east of Rolling Prairie.  La Porte County Police said the driver, Michelle Ellis, told investigators she was eastbound on U.S. 20 when her vehicle was hit with snow from a plow throwing snow off the west side of the Indiana 2 overpass.

The snow crashed onto her 2023 Suburu Impreza.  She immediately pulled over.

Police said the damage included a cracked windshield, broken left windshield wiper and the bumper and grill being broken and out of place.  A tow truck was called for the vehicle.  Ellis was not able to make contact with the driver of the snow plow, said police.
