(La Porte, IN) - A man on a motorcycle was seriously injured in a collision with a car in La Porte.
Timothy Ludlow was transported by medical helicopter to an unknown hospital following the late Tuesday morning accident on Indiana 2 at Boyd Boulevard on the city’s east side.
La Porte Police said the investigation shows Ludlow was in the eastbound passing lane of the state highway when he struck a passenger vehicle operated by Tyrone Edwards.
Edwards told investigators he was crossing the eastbound lanes to turn westbound when the motorcycle, a 2013 Harley Davidson Road King, clipped his driver’s side door and rear fender.
Police said Ludlow, who laid down about 30 feet of skid marks, was discovered face down on the ground about 10 feet away from his motorcycle. He was unable to be questioned right away about the accident due to his injuries, police said.
Additional details like the age of both drivers and where they reside were not released.
