(St. Joseph County, IN) - A proposed $12 billion data center outside New Carlisle is receiving major push back. A St. Joseph County Council committee is not giving a favorable recommendation to the project. For it to happen, the project needs over 1,000 acres of farmland to be rezoned for industrial use.
The land east of Timothy Road would house 14 data center buildings. The rezoning request is expected to be given a final vote by the full St. Joseph County Council on Tuesday.
