(Westville, IN) - She was a manager at a local McDonalds while stealing money from cash registers at the restaurant.

 

Those are the allegations faced by Abigail Jimenez, 31, who had her initial court hearing today on Level 6 felony theft.

 

Police said the Michigan City woman stole over $2,200 during a near two month period over the summer.

 

According to authorities, she wasn’t caught sooner because of her effort to cover up the sometimes daily thefts by claiming they were for customer refunds.

 

The thefts occurred at the McDonalds in Westville.  She could face anywhere from a six month to two and a half year sentence.
