(La Porte, IN) - A La Porte man has been arrested by Indiana State Police on multiple charges related to child exploitation.
Early Thursday morning Keith Allen Wilson, 58, was taken into custody at his home in the 800 block of Ohio Street. Police said an investigation was launched when detectives received a Cyber Tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) related to Wilson’s online activities on a specific Google account.
Wilson was booked into La Porte County Jail, where he is facing the following preliminary charges:
- Possession of Child Pornography, Level 5 Felony (4 Counts).
- Possession of Child Pornography, Level 6 Felony (1 Count).
Authorities say additional charges may be considered by the La Porte County Prosecutor’s Office, pending further investigation.
According to police, several items of suspected narcotics evidence were also seized during the execution of the search warrant.
ISP’s North SWAT, Homeland Security investigators, and the La Porte County Sheriff’s Department assisted with the investigation.
