(La Porte County, IN) - A local manufacturing company has plans to expand.

 

The 2M Shop Group is looking to relocate from 11 Pine Lake Ave. in La Porte to the Kingsbury Industrial Park where it plans to build a new facility on 13 acres at Third Line Road and Hupp Road.

 

Such a move would mean seven additional people being hired on top of the seven that currently work there.

 

Matt Reardon with the La Porte County government Office of Economic Development said the building would contain an over 50,000 square foot shop/assembly area and an over 20,000 square foot office.

 

The metal fabricating business is expected to see tax abatement from the La Porte County Council next month on its proposed $8 million investment.

 

Reardon said the average yearly salary at the company is about $70,000.
