(La Porte County, IN) - The La Porte County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the position of patrol officer.

 

The hiring process includes turning in an application, physical agility testing, a written examination, computerized voice stress analysis examination, background investigation and interview along with a psychological examination.

 

Applications are available at the sheriff’s office website or at the front desk of the sheriff’s office. 

 

The starting salary for a patrol officer is $56,000 but increases to $65,000 after the first year, police said.

 

Completed applications can be dropped off at the front desk of the sheriff’s office or sent via standard email to dallen@lcso.in.gov or traditional mail.

 

People with current or prior law enforcement experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
