(Indianapolis, IN) - The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles is offering residents a new, all-black license plate design.
"We designed the Blackout plate with every Hoosier in mind—from the daily commuter to the classic car enthusiast," BMV Commissioner Kevin Garvey said.
The plate will become available on August 8 while disability plates with the design will be available later, according to the BMV.
The plate will be available for passenger vehicles, motorcycles, RVs or trucks under 11,000 pounds.
The plate can be personalized for an extra charge of $45. Customers purchasing the plate before their renewal date will also be charged a $9.50 replacement fee, according to BMV.
