(La Porte County, IN) - A man is accused in a La Porte County shooting.

 

Timothy Pochron, 72, is charged with Level 1 felony attempted murder and Level 3 felony aggravated battery.

 

The shooting happened Tuesday night at a home on County Road 1150 West between Westville and Wanatah.  Authorities said the 63 year old victim was shot multiple times and airlifted to a trauma center.

 

So far, the name of the victim and what led up to the shooting have not been disclosed.

 

Pochron of Portage is scheduled for an initial hearing this morning in La Porte Circuit Court.   He could face an up to 40 year sentence on the most serious count.
