(La Porte, IN) - About 20 dogs were removed from a home in La Porte for exceeding the city’s four dog limit per residence.

 

Animal Control Officer Paula Stokes said three dogs not able to reproduce were allowed to remain inside the dwelling on Planett St.

 

She said all of the dogs were Pomeranians.

 

Stokes said over 30 Pomeranians were taken from the same home last year in six different visits to the residence.   She said it appears the owners of the Pomeranians allow them to reproduce but don’t sell or give away the puppies.

 

She said the dogs confiscated each time were taken to a no-kill animal rescue group that makes their animals available for adoption.
