(La Porte County, IN) - A Heat Advisory has been issued until 8 p.m. Thursday due to the return of hot and humid conditions.
The temperature in La Porte at 1 p.m. today was 90 degrees with the high temperature forecast to reach into the low 90’s.
The high temperature predicted Thursday is 95 degrees.
To prevent heat related illnesses, experts said people can do things such as limiting their time outside and staying hydrated as much as possible.
Individuals who have to be outside should wear lightweight clothes, take frequent breaks and not overexert themselves, experts said.
The forecast is calling temperatures in the mid to upper 80’s with continued high humidity for the weekend with scattered showers a possibility tomorrow night and a better chance for rain Friday and Saturday
