(Valparaiso, IN) - Charges have been filed in connection with a woman on a Snapchat date jumping out of a moving car.

 

Damion Stewart, 21, of Knox is charged with criminal confinement.

 

Authorities said Stewart and the victim agreed to meet on June 18 in Valparaiso after communicating together on Snapchat for two days.

 

After getting into his vehicle, police said the woman told investigators Steward sped off and ignored her repeated demands to stop to let her out of the vehicle.

 

At one point, Stewart hit a curb and was heading toward a roundabout when the woman opened the passenger side door and jumped out.

 

No injuries were reported.
