(La Porte County, IN) - A stretch of Indiana 39 in La Porte County will be closed soon for construction related work.

According to Indiana Department of Transportation, the two lane highway will be closed between 1750 South and 1800 S beginning on or after July 29. 

State Road 39 will be closed for approximately five days to allow a railroad crossing to be worked on, INDOT said.

The official detour will follow Indiana 8, U.S. 35 and U.S. 30.
