(La Porte County, IN) - Two men are accused of having over 80 pounds of marijuana while passing through La Porte County.
Robert Prister, 47, Spencer Szostak, 37, are charged in La Porte Circuit Court.
Authorities said the men were traveling from the Detroit area to Minnesota when stopped by Indiana State Police for a traffic violation Tuesday on Interstate 94 outside Michigan City.
Quickly, the officer smelled raw marijuana.
During a search, police said more than 80 various sized bags of marijuana were recovered from the vehicle along with large amounts of THC gummies and THC wax.
The investigation indicates both men from Michigan were apparently being paid to make the delivery.
Now, they each could face an up to six year sentence on allegations of Level 5 felony dealing marijuana.
