(La Porte, IN) - A La Porte woman is facing allegations she used fentanyl while behind the wheel of a motor vehicle.  Ashley Blazek is charged in La Porte Circuit Court.

Nearly two weeks ago, La Porte Police said officers were called on a report of a driver slumped over the steering wheel in the 600 block of East Lincolnway. Upon arrival, police said Blazek was conscious with a smoking pipe in her hand and claiming to be fine.

Police said just over 12 grams of fentanyl were found in a bag on the passenger side floorboard.

Blazek could face anywhere from a two to 12 year sentence for Level 4 felony possession of a narcotic drug and an up to 60 days jail sentence on Class C misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.
