(La Porte County, IN) - Two people were injured in a motor vehicle collision Monday afternoon outside La Porte.  The drivers, Eric Higgins, 35, of Michigan City and Juanita Quirk, 69, of La Porte were taken away in ambulances, according to La Porte County Police.

 

Police said the investigation shows Higgins was traveling Fail Road in a 2020 Ford Fusion when he turned left into the path of an oncoming 2022 Ford F-150 pick-up truck driven by Quirk at U.S. 20.

 

Higgins complained of head pain from whiplash suffered from the impact.  Police said Quirk was bleeding from an open wound on her left arm.

 

Both vehicles with heavy front end damage were towed.

 

Higgins was issued a summons to appear in court on a charge of never receiving a driver’s license, police said.
