(La Porte County, IN) - Two volunteer fire departments in this area recently received a potable present from Anheuser-Busch.

The fire departments of North Judson – Wayne Township and Lacrosse are two of just 638 across the state to receive the donation. Each department took delivery of a pallet containing 2,352 cans of delicious-- not beer, but--drinking water.

The program is run by the National Volunteer Fire Council, in partnership with Anheuser-Busch, to support the needs of small fire departments that handle wildfires. The supply ensures firefighters have the critical hydration they need during extreme heat.

According to a statement, Anheuser-Busch has donated 1.5 million cans of drinking water for distribution to volunteer firefighters this year.
