Driver on Tracks Derailed by Pot

(La Porte County, IN) - A Michigan City man is facing charges after getting his vehicle stuck on some railroad tracks.

 

Timothy Miller, 69, has been accused of being under the influence of marijuana Tuesday night as, According to La Porte County Police, his 2003 Hyundai was stuck on the tracks just west of U.S. 421 and south of Alida Road near Westville. Authorities say that symptoms of impairment included a very dry mouth and difficulty maintaining his balance.

 

After a blood sample was taken from the suspect, the officer reportedly suspected he was impaired by cannabis and unable to safely operate a motor vehicle. He did not have any alcohol in his bloodstream.
