(La Porte, IN) - La Porte will play for the sectional title this evening in high school baseball.

 

The Slicers take on Mishawaka in what could be a nail biter, considering both teams are 3-3 against each other since May of 2016.

 

La Porte (18-10) is a on roll after ending the regular season with a victory and winning their first game in the sectionals then defeating South Bend Adams 5-4 in the semi-finals on Saturday.

 

Cody Ryden gave up no earned runs or hits in 3.1 innings of work on the mound while Ben Dubbs score three runs after reaching base three times on hits.

 

Mishawaka (14-14) reached the finals by defeating Michigan City 10-3 on Saturday to end a four game losing streak.

 

The sectional title game at Plymouth is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. (central time) and will be broadcast on 96.7 The Eagle.
