(La Porte County, IN) - La Porte County Police have uncovered an alleged major con man, as Alaye Hogue of Chicago is facing multiple counts of Fraud and other charges after being pulled over last week on the Indiana Toll Road near Hudson Lake.

During the traffic stop, initiated after he was reportedly traveling about 10 miles per hour under the speed limit and having an expired license plate, police said the driver fled but the pursuit ended when his tires were flattened by stop sticks. He took off running after but was soon captured.

Among the items recovered were fake IDs, the backsides of 500 checks, nearly 70 cellphones, and over 80 packaged SIM cards. More than four thousand dollars in cash was also found in the vehicle.
