(La Porte, IN) - Police are investigating some type of incident that involved La Porte High School yesterday.

As per a notice sent to parents, there was an undisclosed incident that was off-campus and involved a high school student. It also emphasized that there was no immediate threat, but all evening activities at the school were canceled as a precaution. School officials noted that there was also a thorough precautionary search of the high school campus, but nothing posing any danger was found.

So far, police have not released further details because of the ongoing investigation.
