(Portage, IN) - All beaches at the Indiana Dunes National Park were closed last night due to a possible spill at the U.S. Steel Midwest plant.

Reports indicate an orange-colored substance started to appear in the water before 6 PM. As a result, a water intake at a plant serving the Town of Ogden Dunes was also closed as a precaution.

The investigation is ongoing.
