(La Porte, IN) - The Indiana Department of Transportation is looking to fill some job openings.

A hiring event is scheduled in La Porte next week. INDOT officials said seasonal employees are needed for the winter to do things like plow snow.

The pay ranges from $20 to $24 an hour. Bonuses of up to $500 are also possible, INDOT officials said. 

People interested in working for the state highway department can attend the event scheduled for September 30th from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Indiana Department of Transportation headquarters in La Porte at 315 East Boyd Boulevard.
