Donald Joseph Satoski, 89, of Union Mills, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 7, 1937, in Union Mills to the late Andrew and Germaine (Wagner) Satoski.
Donald was the co-owner of Satoski Bros. Excavating in Union Mills. He was a graduate of Union Mills High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Donald was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wanatah.
On September 21, 1963, Donald married Joyce Gerold, who survives. He will be lovingly remembered by their children, Kathleen Satoski of South Bend; Donald J. (Cornelia) Satoski II of Union Mills; Gregory (Amy) Satoski of Kouts; Brian (Sue) Satoski of La Porte; Kenneth (Deloris) Satoski of Hamlet; Diane (Don) Varda of La Porte; Cheryl (Matthew) Sanchez of Fish Lake; Mark (Christine) Satoski of La Porte; and Michael (Emalee) Satoski of Valparaiso. He is also survived by several cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his siblings, George (Judy) Satkoski of Union Mills, Verna (Jim) Hardy of South Bend, and Daniel (Linda) Satkoski of Union Mills. Donald was preceded in death by his grandson, Dylan Wade Satoski; and brothers, James Satoski and Phillip Satkoski.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana, where a Parish Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 204 N. Ohio Street, Wanatah, Indiana. The Mass will be officiated by Reverends Steve Loncar and Jerry Schweitzer.
Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Wanatah.
