Candace Yvonne Cross, 69, of Hamlet, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 11, 2026.
She was born on September 1, 1957, in Knox, Indiana, to the late Arthur Noble and survived by Patricia (Kroening) Noble of Kingsford Heights, Indiana.
Candace dedicated over 30 years of her life to working at the Westville Correctional Facility. She later continued her career with the Midwest Center for Youth & Families, where she worked as a Youth Technician.
On January 15, 1982, Candace married Ronald M. Cross, who preceded her in death on December 8, 2002. She is survived by her mother; daughters, Carrie (Reilly) Robison of Valparaiso, Indiana, and Heather Jewell of Hamlet, Indiana; grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher, and Joseph Romano, and Samantha and Grant Robison; and great-granddaughter, Davina Romano. She is also survived by her sister, Sandra (Matthew) White of Union Mills, Indiana.
Candace found great joy in her grandchildren and her beloved dogs. The love she shared with her family and the special place her grandchildren held in her heart will be lovingly remembered.
A Celebration of Candace’s Life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Cummings Lodge, 350 Grangemouth Drive, La Porte, Indiana.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel in La Porte.
