Regina "Ricky" P. Schultz, 77, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Addison Pointe.
She was born on October 12, 1948, in Gary, Indiana, to William Pope and Betty Lou Stanton, who have preceded her in death.
In 1996, she married Fred Schultz, who preceded her in death in March 2013.
Ricky had a daughter, Shawnn Rynne Novreske (8/27/90) and a grandson, Damion Ray Scot Kirby (8/3/90). Both Shawnn and Damion passed away from a fatal car accident.
She was a dog lover and is survived by her furry 4-legged companion, Charlie. Charlie was left in the care of Ricky's long-time friends, Mary Henderson and Brice Henderson.
Ricky was an LPN for 42 years. She loved orientating new nurses. Ricky was an avid reader, especially the Harry Potter books or anything to do with magic and mystery. She enjoyed doing cross-stitch and taking day trips with her friends throughout Indiana and Michigan.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. Burial of cremains will take place at a later date. She will be laid to rest with her daughter and grandson.
