Deborah K. Palm, August 30, 1953 - August 22, 2026.

Deborah K. Palm, 72, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 7:55 am in Franciscan Health - Michigan City, Michigan City, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, August 28, 2026, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington Street, Michigan City, Indiana, with  Pastor Bruce Carr officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation hours will be from 4:00 pm -7:00 pm, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.

She was born August 30, 1953, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Norman and Marjorie (Oldenettel) Pickford. On December 22, 1973, in Michigan City, Indiana, she married David J. Palm who survives in Michigan City, Indiana, along with daughter, Jennifer (Richard) Decker of Michigan City, Indiana; son, Erik (Sarah) Palm of La Porte, Indiana; five grandchildren, Austin Decker, Logan Decker, Rylee Palm, Kaiden Palm, and Zoey Garwood; brother, Jeffrey (Georgia) Pickford of Trail Creek, Indiana;  along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by grandchild, Zane Garwood.

Deborah worked at Jaymar Ruby and retired  from Dwyer Instrument from the mail clerk department, Michigan City, Indiana.  She  was a member of the Red Hat Society, Michigan City Senior Center, Moose Family Center 980, former member of the original Michigan City Jaycees Oktoberfest committee.  She enjoyed her Friday night Bingo at the Moose, resting in the sunshine by the swimming pool and watching both the Michigan City and La Porte 4th of July parades.  She enjoyed listening to music of 
Journey Rock Band and Foreigner Band, attending "Live at the Lakefront concerts", but most of all attending and watching her grandchildren's sporting events.
