Craig Otto Anderson, 76, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026.
He was born on August 16, 1950, in La Porte to the late Bud and LaVerne (Tomlinson) Anderson.
Craig was the owner of the former Anderson Tapes Video store in La Porte and later worked in pool construction. He earned his private pilot’s license through Indiana State University, a passion that reflected his adventurous spirit. In his younger years, Craig enjoyed hunting and, throughout his life, had a love for playing poker and spending time with his many friends at local pubs.
On October 3, 1970, Craig married Susan McIntyre, who survives. He is also survived by his daughters, Amy (John) Boyd of La Porte and Abbie (Adam) Kramer of La Porte; grandchildren, Megan (David) Applegarth of La Porte, Nicholas Boyd of La Porte, Crew Kramer of La Porte, and Kellan Kramer of La Porte; his brother, Bruce (Jane) Anderson of La Porte; a sister-in-law, Pam McIntyre; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who will cherish his memory.
He is preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Mike McIntyre.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
