Charles Edward "Ed" Trapp, 84, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Franciscan Health-Michigan City.
Ed was born on December 12, 1941, in Winamac, IN, to Raymond and Mary (Warren) Trapp.
On September 10, 1960, he married Jo-Ann Pulaski who preceded him in death on January 24, 2025. Ed is survived by his 2 sons, Mark (Juli) Trapp of La Porte and David (Nancy) Trapp of Indianapolis; 2 granddaughters, Courtney and Alyssa; Alyssa's family; brother, Raymond; sister, Carol; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and brother, Ron Trapp.
Ed was a machinist by trade and later a salesman in the oil business. He enjoyed caring for his tomato plants and spending time at Monroe Collectibles, where he was able to share time with his beloved family.
He proudly served 4 years in the United States Air Force.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at La Porte Missionary Church with Pastor Carl Galloway officiating.
A time of visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service on Sunday at the church. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
