Marilyn I. Slesinski, 74, La Porte, IN, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 2:30 am in Trail Creek Place, Michigan City, IN.

Committal Prayers will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, 5700 E. US Highway 20, Michigan City, IN, with  Pastor Joe Kotulski officiating. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City, IN. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Tuesday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.

She was born September 10, 1951, in Michigan City, IN, to the late Theodore and Leona (Yagelski) Bobinski. On September 4, 1971, in Michigan City, IN, she married Tommy Lowry who preceded her on March 2, 1994. Then in December of 1999, she married Thaddeus"Ted" Slesinski who survives.

Also surviving are her daughter, Wendy (Dustin) Varvil of Noblesville, IN; two grandchildren, Tyler and Ethan Vavril, both of Noblesville, IN; sister, Juanita Brown of Thornton, CO; and her brother, David Bobinski of Michigan City, IN. He was preceded in death by father, Theodore Bobinski; mother, Leona Bobinski Mazuchowski.

She had worked as a book keeper at I.T.W. Ramset Redhead. She was a member of Liberty Bible Church, La Porte, IN. She enjoyed bible study and community out reach with the church and trips with the Women of Faith.
