Stuart C. Pawloski, 60, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 11:25 a.m. at Northwest Health-La Porte in La Porte, Indiana.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington Street, Michigan City, Indiana, is assisting the family with arrangements.
He was born on March 9, 1966, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late George and Pamela Kay (Landwirth) Pawloski.
Surviving are his son, Jacob Pawloski of St. Petersburg, Florida; two stepchildren, Joshua Bassett of Seattle, Washington, and Casey Bassett of Bradenton, Florida; and his aunt, Louise Pawloski of Michigan City, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Chad Pawloski; and brother, Brad Pawloski.
Stuart was a true jack of all trades and worked in a variety of occupations throughout his life, most recently as a self-employed contractor. He was an avid sports enthusiast who especially enjoyed playing golf and fishing. Stuart also found great joy in coaching youth baseball for many years. During the Christmas season, he loved portraying Santa Claus, proudly growing out his beard each year for the role. He treasured the friendships he made through the St. Joseph Young Men's Society.
