Roger A. Lilly, 76, of La Porte, passed away Saturday, July 4th, 2026, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

 

He was born on August 31st, 1949, to Willard and Mary Jane (Cram) Lilly.

 

On June 29th, 1975, he married Sherry (Lockhart) who preceded him in death.

 

Roger was part of the Masonic Temple and Shriners. He was a swordsman for the Shriners; he was also in the Oriental Band as well. He enjoyed taking rides on his motorcycle when he was younger. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren as well as his great-grandchildren.

 

He is survived by 3 children, Gina (Homer) Flores, Wendy (Jim) Stewart, and Mark (Maggie) Lilly all from La Porte; nine grandchildren; Matt (Sarah) Lilly, Dustin (Hailey) Parker, Jessica Parker, Samantha (Jon) Wegiel, Kyle (Kate) Stewart, Sean Lilly, Jason (Kara) Flores, Mike Flores, and Paul (Brittany) Flores; eight great-grandchildren, David, Carlie, Jackson, Savannah, Alayna, Kade, Drew and Olive.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Mary Jane Lilly; sister, Mary Hunt; his wife, Sherry Lilly; brother, James Lilly; and sister-in-law, Barb Lilly.

 

Cremation will take place at Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory.

 

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday August 8, 2026, from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Hamon Gray, American Legion Post 83, 228 E. Lincoln Way La Porte, IN.
