Judith (Judi) Jones

Judith (Judi) Jones, 80, of La Porte, passed away on July 13, 2026 at Miller’s Health and Rehab.

 

Judi was born on May 20, 1946 to Gary and June (Wolfenbarger) Jones at Pine Lake Hospital, in La Porte.

 

Judi loved her family beyond measure, and loved Christmas eve open houses where she'd cook "enough food to feed an army." She adored her grandkids and great-grandbabies was called Grandma Great by Gavin. Judi worked at Phillips 66 Gas Station until her retirement. She loved her customers and made friends very quickly. She would help anyone if she knew they needed it.

 

She is survived by her children, Robbin (Jonn Schroeder) of La Porte and David (Laura) Riffel of La Porte; her sister, Linda (Edward) Musgrave of Ball Ground, Georgia; brother, Terry (Mary) Jones of La Porte; grandchildren, Jessica Ready, Jordon (Amanda) Dingman, Jeremy Dingman, Angela Hayes Riffel, Mathew Riffel, Elizabeth Riffel, Tori (Walter) Cimbaljevich, Chase Riffel, Ireland Albin, Vada Albin; 8 great- grandchildren, Colton, Ella, Gavin, Eloise, Damien, Seraphina, Mabel, Noah, Charles, Maxine; nieces and nephews, Gary, Damon, Chris, Todd, Chadd, Lisa, Hiedi, and her best friend, Kathy.

 

She was proceeded in death by her parents; her brother, Gary Jones; and a great granddaughter, Ella Reedy; and nephew, Clint Jones.

 

There will be no service at Judi's request. Cremation has taken place. Burial will take place at Patton Cemetery at a later date. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., (219) 362-3100 is entrusted with arrangements.

 

The family would like thank La Porte Millers Health and Rehabilitation for the many years of care she received. She made many friends there. Also, Dunes Hospice for exceptional care they provided her.
