Edward Ray Richie, February 13, 1965 – June 10, 2026.

 

Edward Ray Richie, 61, of Michigan City, passed away at 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Franciscan Health in Michigan City.

 

He was born on February 13, 1965, in Knox, Indiana, to Delmos and Shirley (Bradley) Richie.

 

Ed loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He enjoyed building things with his hands, playing cards, and sharing stories with family and friends. Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, Ed could always make people laugh and had a way of bringing smiles to those around him. Whether he was telling a joke, teasing someone he cared about, or sharing one of his many stories, he left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

 

Above all else, Ed cherished his grandchildren. Some of his happiest moments were spent playing with them, making them laugh, and simply enjoying time together. His love for his family was evident in everything he did.

 

He is survived by his children, Kristi (Mark Stone) Richie, Ashley (Nic Logan) Richie, and Grace (Keith Keene) Richie; his former spouse, Brandy Bradley; his siblings, Del Richie and Betsy Laws; his grandchildren, Shawn, Gage, Alexis, Ava, Dominic, and Micah; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

Ed was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Cremation will take place. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., Michigan City, Indiana, is caring for the arrangements.
