Josina Kay Miser, 89, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
Josina was born on March 18, 1937, in La Porte, IN, to Stanley and Katherine (Trainor) Black.
In October 1962, she married Lloyd Delbert Miser, Sr., who preceded her in death in 1993. Surviving are her children, Kenneth (Teresa) Paxson, Lynn (Daniel) Hutts, Lora Schmitt, and Lloyd Miser, Jr.; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandchild, Christa Young; sister, Patty Black; and brother, Paul Black.
Kay graduated from Rolling Prairie High School. She liked traveling, reading, and lunch with her "lunch ladies". Kay especially enjoyed being a mother, and the time she was able to spend with her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughters.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A private burial will take place at Door Village Cemetery.
