Robert “Bob” C. Houck, 83, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2026.
Bob was born on May 26, 1942, in La Porte, Indiana, to the late George Houck and Dorothy (Stahlberg) Murray.
On February 3, 1962, Bob married his high school sweetheart, Joan Flotow, who preceded him in death on January 8, 2025.
Bob retired from NIPSCO, where he was a lineman for 38 years. He enjoyed woodworking and tinkering in his immaculate yard. He loved to golf with the guys, go on vacation, and spend time with his family and friends.
Bob is survived by his two daughters, Lori (Dave) Williamson and Julie Hebb, both of Michigan City; four grandsons, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Williamson, Robert “Bobby” (Marci) Williamson, Christopher Hebb, and Michael Hebb; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Joan, and brothers, Edward Houck and Dennis Houck.
