Harold Lee Schultz

Harold Lee Schultz, 88, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
Harold was born on January 17, 1938, in Michigan City, IN, to Walter and Laura (Berg) Schultz.
On July 12, 1958, in Michigan City, IN, he married Emma Jean Kroening, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Brian Schultz of La Porte, SuAnn (Jack) Stark of La Porte, David Schultz of La Porte, John (Jill) Schultz of La Porte, Paul (Amy) Schultz of La Porte, and Harold (Yvette) Schultz of Michigan City; son, Sandy Cook of Michigan City; 22 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann Barger; brother, Wallace (Cynthia) Kroening; as well as many nieces and nephews including Blaine (Suzi) Schultz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Carolyn Kibby; grandson, Evan Stark; and granddaughter, Natalie Schultz.

Harold owned, worked, and loved Country Saw Sales and Repair, where he worked as a machinist. Faithful customers called him "Sawman". His second love was gardening and sharing his love of it and the bounty of his garden with others. Harold was a member of Springville Community Church.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Springville Community Church with Reverend Kurt Feneley officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
